Wow. 11am now. Cognitive today is so tough. Cheeeeeemmmmm~ Show you guys la. Salute you if you manage to understand/solve it.

Problem 10: Knowledge and Occupation

Paul had a bad experience recently at a checkout counter of the local supermarket where he shops for groceries regularly. He was the third person in the queue, and it just so happened that the counter staff had to resolve some matter related to a purchase of the customer at the front of the queue. She apologised to those waiting in line, and left the counter. Paul expected her to return to the counter in less than a minute, but she returned only after about five minutes, still focussed on the matter at hand and with several more things to do to resolve the problem. During those agonising minutes, two other counters were opened by other staff, but before Paul could notice those opportunities, the others behind him in the queue rushed in and formed new queues. He felt that the counter staff should know better and should have ensured that the new counters opened would first serve those who were in the front of the stalled queue, in an orderly manner, instead of letting anyone rush in to benefit from the newly opened queues.
We all expect others to know better especially when it is about what they do in their occupations which affect us. Most people blame ‘lack of education’ whenever there is a shortcoming of that kind. The employers are expected to train their staff to job specific functions. However, many organisations rely on educational institutions to provide the needed common-sense as well as technical education because they usually do not have the means of providing such a preparation, and they can usually afford only highly specific job training programmes.

Examine how one could be prepared for the diverse kinds of things one may encounter in occupations, acknowledging that highly diverse business activities could be associated with a single diploma discipline.

Is like. WTH is highly diverse business activities? What is single diploma discipline?? Actually it's not that hard to understand la~ maybe im lazyyyyy.
